Churchill Venture Capital has primarily funded early stage businesses that have the potential to mature in the short term into viable public companies. Danny Wettreich is Chairman and CEO of the company and its predecessor companies for over 20 years, where he has been involved in each portfolio investment. Danny has over 38 years of experience in venture capital, equity trading, and management of publically traded companies. He is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Churchill Natural Resource Partners, which invests in early-stage natural resource companies.
Danny has been a director of public companies listed on NASDAQ, the American Stock Exchange, the London Stock Exchange, the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, and the Canadien Vancouver Exchange. These public companies have been in diverse businesses in internet technologies, oil and gas, retailing, telecommunications, media, and real estate. He has facilitated 10 private companies to become publically traded via the "reverse merger" process.
Originally from London, England where he started his career with merchant bankers Hambros Bank and Charterhouse Japhet, Danny has long believed that successful investing in early-stage companies requires a value-added approach that provides intellectual capital as well as equity capital.
Danny is a passionate art collector and is Chairman of European Art Gallery, private dealers in fine art. He is actively involved in charitable activities and for five years was a director of the World Affairs Council of Dallas-Fort. Worth. Since 2005 he has been Chairman of the Dallas-Fort Worth Committee for Heritage, the local affiliate of The Heritage Foundation.
